After moving to Los Angeles in 1970, Geary appeared in Room 222 and All in the Family before being cast on General Hospital in 1978—a role that would define his career.
“I sure didn’t expect to be on a TV show for 30 years,” Geary once reflected. “But Luke Spencer is probably what will lead my obituary.”
